We are seeking a technically excellent and highly ambitious associate with 2-5 years’ PQE to join one of London’s leading financial practices. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an outstanding firm, working on high-profile matters with industry-leading clients.
Role Overview
Renowned for its private funds practice, it is one of the most comprehensive in London, offering expertise across the full spectrum of private funds. This ranges from private equity, private debt, venture capital, and infrastructure to real estate, hedge funds, and regulated funds.
The Role
- Leading private fundraisings, including drafting and negotiating key fund documentation such as limited partnership agreements, side letters, subscription agreements, and offering documents.
- Assisting with initial regulatory and tax structuring, jurisdictional analysis, and providing coordinated international regulatory guidance for private funds.
- Advising sponsors on business operations, including global structuring, regulatory compliance, incentive and remuneration arrangements, governance, and internal policies.
- Providing guidance on incentive arrangements and supporting clients in aligning their strategies with industry best practices.
- Collaborating with other practice groups on private funds aspects of broader transactions, such as M&A deals and secondaries.
The Ideal Candidate
- 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience gained at a top-tier institutional private funds practice or in-house with a leading private capital manager, with a primary focus on private funds such as private equity, private debt, venture capital, infrastructure, and real assets.
- A strong commitment to developing both professional and legal expertise while contributing to the growth and reputation of the team.
- Exceptional communication skills, confidence, and the ability to perform at the highest standard within a team of highly skilled associates.
