The Team:
The global antitrust team provides unparalleled expertise across the full antitrust and competition law spectrum.
What They Do:
- Merger Clearance & Regulatory Filings: With a proven track record of securing transaction approvals, they navigate Second Request investigations in the U.S., the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the European Commission, and other EU bodies
- Litigation: They tackle complex antitrust disputes, including patent-antitrust issues and price-fixing class actions, in U.S. federal and state courts, as well as EU litigations before the UK High Court and UK Competition Appeal Tribunal.
- Investigations: The team represents clients in civil and criminal antitrust investigations before enforcement agencies in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, with significant expertise in global cartel matters
- FDI Clearances: Specialising in procuring foreign direct investment clearances, including under the UK NSIA regime and the EU screening regime.
What you will need:
- you will have ideally trained at a top international firm in London or another European city
- you should have at least two years of experience advising on EU and UK competition and regulatory law matters.
- You will need broad experience covering inquiries and investigations before the EU Commission and UK Competition and Markets Authority, as well as advising on mergers and acquisitions
- Good communication skills
- Be self-motivated and a self-starter and capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team
- Ability to deliver legal and commercial solutions.
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Commitment to business development, networking and attending events
- Efficient and commercial approach to work
