My client, a prominent law firm, is seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Solicitor to join their well-established team.
The team provides expert advice on UK and international mid-market financing transactions, covering acquisition finance, corporate lending, asset/receivables finance, project finance, derivatives, and debt capital markets. The firm’s clients include major banks, private equity houses, and businesses across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, housing, financial services, and technology.
This role offers a broad range of work, with the opportunity to specialise as your career progresses. You will have the chance to work on high-profile transactions and develop close relationships with clients, including banks such as Santander, Barclays, and HSBC, as well as companies in the energy, retail, and aerospace sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on a wide range of banking matters, including syndicated and bilateral loans for banks, borrowers, and private equity firms.
- Draft and negotiate loan facilities, security, intercreditor, and ancillary documents.
- Work on acquisition finance, corporate lending, asset-backed finance, and project finance transactions.
- Manage cross-border transactions, liaising with international legal counsel.
- Collaborate with other practice areas such as corporate, real estate, pensions, and construction to provide seamless advice across client matters.
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Solid technical skills and experience running high-value transactions with minimal supervision.
- A proactive, solutions-driven approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in business development and client relationship management.
