The team provides comprehensive advice to domestic and international clients on buying, selling, and developing residential real estate in the UK and abroad. They assist with acquisitions, tax-efficient structures, high-value developments, and permit navigation. The team also advises on short-term rental agreements, handles transactions involving estates and country houses, and addresses the commercial needs of landed clients. Their expertise covers agricultural, commercial, and development matters, including inheritance tax planning, land management, boundary disputes, leisure and tourism land development, and environmental conservation.
The Role & Specification
- The role involves a mixed caseload covering all aspects of Residential and Landed Estates property work. Ideal candidates should have a passion for the property market and demonstrate a strong technical understanding of property law.
- Admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales with a solid understanding of land and agricultural estates.
- Experience in handling transactions involving agricultural, residential, and landowner development matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a clear and engaging communication style.
- Strong technical ability, solid drafting skills, and strong research capabilities, along with the ability to manage client contact from the outset.
- A commercial and pragmatic outlook, with strong IT skills (e.g., Word & Excel), strong academics, and a willingness to take responsibility and build strong working relationships across all areas of the practice.
